TOEIC Listening – Part 1
Introduction to TOEIC listening part 1
The TOEIC Listening consists of 4 exercises and is done before the TOEIC Reading section. The Exam-Practice TOEIC preparation follows the same pattern. TOEIC listening part 1
Part 1 deals with 6 photographs. You will hear 4 sentences per photograph and will have to select the one that corresponds best to the dedicated photography. No description will be written. Only options A, B, C and D will be indicated.
Warning: the TOEIC is a paper test, the day of the exam you will see the pictures in your booklet. The instructions remain the same except that the letter corresponding to the best description must be shown on your answer sheet. TOEIC listening part 1
The proposals are not written in the booklet, they will only be spoken once. You are forbidden to write in the booklet.
Part 1 – Tips and Strategies
- Look well ahead of the questions each of the photos. Thus, when you hear the 4 proposals, it will be easier to eliminate the ones that do not match and identify the best solution.
- Anticipate by imagining what could describe the photographs (who, what, where, when, how …).
- Learn the instructions by heart. Thus, the day D, you gain in confidence because you are in familiar ground. You can jump on it and keep your energy to listen to audio recordings and answer questions correctly.
