It is accepted over 8,500 institutions across 130 countries, including the UK, USA, and Australia, as well as all of the world’s top 100 universities. TOEFL is administered by the US-based organization the Education Testing Service (ETS) and so is conducted in American English.
For more than 45 years, Australian universities have accepted TOEFL scores for admissions. Since November 2014, the TOEFL test is also accepted to fulfill the English-language requirements for a range of temporary and permanent visas, both sponsored and independent, including Post-study.

What is a good TOEFL score?
The best definition of a good TOEFL score is that it’s the score that gets you into your schools of choice. Most schools have a cutoff TOEFL score, or a TOEFL score you must meet in order to be considered for admission. In many cases, meeting this cutoff score is enough for the school to feel confident about your English skills. However, in some cases, it’s recommended that you score higher than the cutoff score to improve your chances of being admitted, while some schools offer alternative requirements if you don’t meet their TOEFL cutoff score. You cannot predict what a good and a bad score is. Fortunately, many universities take the guesswork out by stating exactly what score you need to qualify for their programs. Of course, the minimum score can still differ a lot from school-to-school. Some schools require a score as low as 70 points and others as high as 110. Who accepts TOEFL
So overall, 80-90 score range is treated as moderately good. Once you get your TOEFL iBT score to 80 or higher, many more universities will accept you. And by scoring in the range of 90-100, means perfectly good. At this level, your TOEFL score is good enough for most universities.

How to send TOEFL scores to Colleges?
At the time of registration, the candidate gets the opinion of sending 4 free test score reports to colleges/universities/programs. Official score reports will be sent to the recipients in some days. Those who do not wish to send the free score report can send the additional score reports by paying additional charges. Students can also avail discount on sending 5 additional score reports by ordering the TOEFl Value Pack Premium. ETS offers more value packs which students can order and avail huge discount on sending their scores to colleges/universities.
How soon do score recipients get the scores?
Score reports are sent electronically or mailed to recipients approximately 13 days after the test date. However, ETS has no control over mail delivery to various locations around the world. Allow 7–10 days after the mailing date for delivery in the United States, and 4–6 weeks for locations outside the United States. How many score reports are included in test fee?
Your test fee includes:
- Your scores posted to your TOEFL online account.
- A paper copy of your Test Taker Score Report (only if you requested it before you took the test)
- A PDF copy of your Test Taker Score Report, which can be downloaded and printed from your account.
Note that PDF score reports are currently not available for tests taken in China.
- Up to 4 official score reports that ETS will send directly to the institutions or agencies you select before you take the test.
Note that if you designate any institution or agency to receive your scores, you will not be able to have your Writing and/or Speaking sections restored.
