The solution to stand out can be to enhance your skills and make them meaningful for everyone. A level of English is difficult to assess without passing an exam, the candidate may have strengths or weaknesses that will not be analyzed in a simple discussion or an exchange of mail. This is why IELTS is highly valued by employers: it is standardized, so the results will be objective for all candidates, regardless of the country of the examination centre.
